Goodwill arrangement
We apply a goodwill arrangement to accommodate you in certain situations. This means that, depending on the circumstances, we can offer a solution outside of the standard rules. Feel free to contact us to discuss the possibilities. You can read more about this on our Own Contribution and Billing page.
Insured Care
Most maxillofacial surgeries are covered by the basic insurance. This means you only need to pay the excess. In 2025, the mandatory excess is €385. If you have chosen a higher excess, this amount may be different. A referral letter from your dentist, orthodontist, general practitioner, or medical specialist is required for reimbursement from the basic insurance.
Uninsured Care
Treatments not covered by the basic insurance, such as implants or aesthetic procedures, are considered uninsured care. You will receive an estimate of the costs in advance. You will need to pay this bill yourself. If you have additional insurance, you may be able to claim some of the costs back.
Aesthetic treatments, such as botox, fillers, or eyelid surgeries, are not covered by the basic insurance. The intake for these procedures is free, and you will receive an estimate in advance. Payment for aesthetic treatments must be made immediately after the treatment via card payment.
Authorization
For certain treatments, such as dentures, prior authorization from your health insurance company is required. We are happy to assist you in applying for this authorization. If the authorization is approved, the costs will be reimbursed. Without authorization, you will need to pay the costs yourself.
Billing
For questions regarding billing, please contact us via declaraties@kaakchirurgie-zuidas.nl.
We provide surgical procedures for the mouth, jaw, or face. Generally, these are covered by basic insurance (insured care). This includes tooth extractions, wisdom teeth extractions, implant placements for dentures, pain relief (abscesses, broken teeth or molars, TMJ problems), root-end treatments, MRA’s (snoring appliances for OSAS), and treatments for children.
These services are insured, meaning that in principle, you only need to pay the deductible. In 2025, the mandatory deductible is €385. If you have agreed upon a voluntary higher deductible with your insurer, this may be higher. If you've already consumed part of your deductible for other care, you will pay no more than €385 (or higher if agreed with your insurer) for insured care.
Kaakchirurgie Zuidas has not yet contracted with insurers as we are a newly started clinic. This means your insurer may charge you a co-payment. However, we have agreed that you will not pay more than what would have been charged at a hospital with which your insurer does have contracts. In other words, you will not have to pay a higher contribution.
Infomedics
You will receive an invoice from Infomedics. You can submit this to your insurer. Depending on your policy, reimbursement can range from 65% to 100%. The deductible is first deducted by your insurer.
After reimbursement by your insurer, you will pay the remaining amount to Infomedics. Send the reimbursement statement from your insurer to us by post or via email (declaraties@kaakchirurgiezuidas.nl). We will verify the statement and write off the non-reimbursed portion. This means you only pay what your insurer reimburses.
