Implants

Implants are only reimbursed in the following cases:

- In cases of severe bone loss and a completely toothless jaw
- For congenital abnormalities
- For reconstructive treatment after facial trauma and oncological surgery

A common misconception, even among health insurance employees, is that implants are always reimbursed when a referral is requested or after submitting a treatment plan. Even if authorization is granted by the insurer, your out-of-pocket costs can range from €200 to €500, in addition to your €385 deductible.

Would you like to cancel or reschedule your appointment?

Appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled treatment. If an appointment is not cancelled or is cancelled less than 24 hours before the appointment, Kaakchirurgie Zuidas will charge for the reserved time. These costs will not be reimbursed by your health insurer.

When a patient does not show up, a treatment room remains unused and an entire team is on standby, unable to provide care in the meantime. This entails considerable costs. In addition, we could have helped another patient during that time. Our policy is in accordance with the guidelines of the KNMT (Royal Dutch Dental Association).

Appointments that cannot be kept for any reason should preferably be cancelled by telephone, no later than 24 hours prior to the appointment. If Kaakchirurgie Zuidas is closed due to weekends or public holidays, you can, in exceptional cases, send an email to: info@kaakchirurgie-zuidas.nl.

How much will it cost if you do not cancel in time?

  • We charge a standard fee of €61.53 for missed appointments.
  • For missed sedation or anaesthesia treatments, the fee is €278.61.

If you have an outstanding bill with Kaakchirurgie Zuidas, we can only schedule a new (follow-up) appointment once the outstanding invoice(s) have been paid in full.
